You will be met on arrival at Victoria Falls Airport by our representative and transfered to Victoria Falls which constitutes one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. Victoria Falls offers a plethora of activities from sunset cruise on the Zambezi River to helicopter flight over the falls as well as adrenaline activities such as bungee Jumping, ziplining off the historic Victoria Falls Bridge, white water rafting a leisurely canoe down the gorge.
Your stay is a 2-Night Super Deal package at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge and includes the following added value besides accommodation in a standard room on Bed & Breakfast: dinner for both nights, one lunch, hourly courtesy shuttle to Victoria Falls Rainforest and town centre and more.
Day 3 – 6 Victoria Falls – Livingstone – Lower Zambezi
After a leisurely breakfast you may still have time to squeeze one last activity before being transferred to Livingstone Airport in Zambia. On arrival at the airport board your direct flight to Zambezi Grande (direct flight To/From Zambezi Grande are on Tuesdays & Saturdays only and from 1st May – 31st October). On arrival at the Royal airstrip, you will be welcomed by the lodge’s team for a 10 minutes road transfer to the lodge.
Zambezi Grande is situated on a prime sector of the Zambezi River front, near the Lower Zambezi National Park, offering visitors an unforgettable personal retreat, with all the sumptuous indulgences a discerning guest would appreciate from the comfort of an opulent, 5-star sanctuary in the heart of Africa. This upmarket lodge invites you to explore the hidden treasures of an untamed, unfenced and unspoilt nature. Enjoy relaxation and raw African beauty at its finest while drinking a cup of tea or coffee on your veranda watching the sun rises on the opposite side of the river – on the Zimbabwean side – and shines right onto the patios of your room at Zambezi Grande.
It reflects on the water and there is no way that the beauty of it could ever be captured on camera.
The lodge offers a wide variety of land and water-based safari activities and guests travelling to Zambezi Grande will be treated to 4 x 4 Game Drives, River Safaris, Sundowner cruises, Tiger fishing, as well as Cultural village visit to get an insight in the lifestyle of the Muguramano tribe.
During the 4 x 4 game drives, expect to see herds of elephant, some lions, wild dog, leopard, hippos, buffalo, zebra and different types of antelope. The river safaris are not short of surprises as it is very common to see Hippo breaching just meters away from your boat, herds of Elephant crossing from island to island ahead of you, and majestic Lions enjoying a refreshing drink after a day lounging in the hot African sun…. Sundowner cruises are a superb way to relax and enjoy the spectacular beauty of the Zambezi River and offer great photo opportunities against often-spectacular African sunsets.
Tiger fishing is another activity enjoyed by Zambezi Grand guests and does not require one to be a professional fisherman. Bird lovers are also rewarded during water activities as the riverbanks are also home to many bird species and flocks of birds skim the waterline, the wildlife viewing complimenting your fishing excursions. In between the daily activities spoil yourself with relaxing and nurturing body therapy designed to alleviate stress and sooth tired or tight muscles, leaving you feeling revitalised and refreshed.
Day 7 Departure
After your last morning activity followed by breakfast, it is time to bid farewell to the lodge team before being transferred to the Royal Zambezi Airstrip to connect with your direct flight to Livingstone Airport for onward private arrangements.
