Day 1 Arrival Arusha
Karibu! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met by our representative and transferred to Gran Melia Hotel in Arusha. After check in formalities settle in your room, enjoy the hotel amenities, unwind and get ready for your first adventure tomorrow morning.

Day 2 Tarangire National Park
This morning it is time to step into big 5 territory. You will be collected from the hotel after breakfast and driven to Tarangire National Park where Giant baobab trees stand tall on short grass plains, Savannas, swamps and marshes border each other for hundreds of kilometres. Colossal herds of elephant wander across the rolling grasslands and a myriad of wildlife amble throughout the park.
This lovely park boasts the largest concentrations of elephants in the world and the highest number of breeding bird species. Herds can number up to 300 and seeing these gentle giants meander across the plains and under the iconic baobab trees is a truly memorable safari experience. The best time to view the elephant is during the Dry Season between July and October when the herds gather along the Tarangire River. Big cats like lions, cheetahs and leopards, but also the seldom seen Kudu, Oryx and Gerenuk. If you are lucky you can even spot the tree- climbing python.
Later in the late afternoon drive to Nimali Tarangire, a hidden gem. Small and intimate, this tented camp nestles under the shade of acacia trees overlooking a pretty dry riverbed bordered by huge and dramatic granite boulders. Nimali Tarangire sits contentedly in its own private concession, bordering Tarangire National Park.

Day 3 Full Day Tarangire National Park
After breakfast enjoy game drives inside the National as well as in Nimali private concession and enjoy the benefits of game viewing in a private concession such as night drives, game viewing vehicles may drive off road when following high profile animals like the big 5, fewer other game viewing vehicles in the area.

Day 4-5- Lake Manyara National Park – Ngorongoro
The next stop on your safari adventure takes you to Lake Manyara National Park for a nature walk at the edge of the huge soda lake. After this walk you hop in the safari vehicle to continue with a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. This park is known for its huge soda lake filled with pink-hued flamingos, large population of baboons, incredible birdlife and breath-taking views. Expect to see giraffes, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, flamingos and with a bit of luck you may spot a tree-climbing lion. A picnic lunch is served in the park surrounded by the magnificent natural scenery of this (beautiful nat. Park) Tanzanian gem.

The following morning is an early start for a full day private game drive in the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a world-renowned conservation area and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The descent into the crater is one of scenic beauty. As you reach the inside of the Crater, your expert ranger will take you through the grassy crater floor, the fever tree forest, the banks of Lake Magadi and the surrounding marshes. The large volcanic caldera, which stands at 2236m above sea level and spans an area of 259 square kilometres, teems with wildlife and is considered to be one of the Wonders of the Natural World. Dotted with watering holes that attract a diverse variety of game, the bottom of the crater is home to more than 30 000 animals, which are enclosed and protected by the slopes of the volcano. You will spend the day exploring this spectacular area, soaking up the breath-taking natural scenery and experiencing the incredible array of fauna and flora that reside within it. Lunch is served picnic style on the crater floor, surrounded by the natural wonder.
Late afternoon you return at the lodge and enjoy the lodge amenities – you may decide to take a plunge into the refreshing pool.

Day 6 – 7 Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast drive to Serengeti national park for game drive with picnic lunch. A World Heritage Site and proclaimed Seventh Wonder of the World, Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park is famous for being host to the annual Great Migration, when some two million hooves pound the open plains, ranging from mega-herds of millions of wildebeest to more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle searching for fresh grazing. Yet, even when the migration moves on, the Serengeti offers the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of giant elephant and statuesque giraffe, as well as a seemingly endless sea of wildebeest, elands, Grant’s gazelle and hundreds of other animals lie between you and Serengeti Melia Lodge. And where there is food, there are predators, so the Serengeti’s big cat and predator concentration is high all year round.

Day 8 Serengeti National Park – Arusha – Nairobi (check the flight out of Serengeti to see if can connect to JNB the same day and overnight in JNB INSTEAD)
After a leisurely breakfast, it is time to wave farewell to the wilderness as you are being transferred to the airstrip to connect with your scheduled light aircraft transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for onwards flight to Nairobi.
You will be met on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and driven to Eka hotel Nairobi,
located near the Airport and offering comfort and convenience to guests

Day 9 -12 Nairobi – Livingstone – Lower Zambezi National Park
You will be picked for your hotel and driven back to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight to Livingstone Airport.
On arrival board your direct flight to Zambezi Grande (direct flight on Tuesdays & Saturdays only and from 1st May – 31st October). On arrival at the Royal Airstrip, you will be welcomed and a 10mn road transfer will take you to the lodge.
After a leisurely breakfast followed by check out, you will be transferred to Livingston Airport to connect with your flight to Zambezi Grande in Zambia. On arrival at the Royal Airstrip, you will be welcomed and a 10mn road transfer will take you to the lodge.

Tiger fishing is another activity enjoyed by Zambezi Grand guests and does not require one to be a professional fisherman. Bird lovers are also rewarded during water activities as the riverbanks are also home to many bird species and flocks of birds skim the waterline, the wildlife viewing complimenting your fishing excursions. In between the daily activities spoil yourself with relaxing and nurturing body therapy designed to alleviate stress and sooth tired or tight muscles, leaving you feeling revitalised and refreshed.
Day 13 – 14 Lower Zambezi National Park – Victoria Falls
After your last morning activity followed by breakfast, it is time to bid farewell to the lodge team before being transferred to the Royal Zambezi Airstrip to connect with your direct flight to Livingstone Airport (direct flight on Tuesdays & Saturdays only and from 1st May – 31st October).
