This Honeymoon journey is a combination of thrilling game drives and a beach holiday to ensure relaxation and quality moments together.

Start by exploring Kenya two best Wildlife locations: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy offering outstanding game viewing and spectacular views to Mt. Kenya to the south and arid lowlands to the north. Then move to the world renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration as well as its residents Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino.

Round off this Honeymoon trip with a visit to Galu Beach, south of Diani beach, ideal for post-safari relaxation. Spend a week on this Indian Ocean private beach and enjoy warm, azure seas and sparkling white beach and soak up the beauty and peace.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi Kenya

On Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi you will be met by our Representative transferred to Fairview Hotel Nairobi locate few minutes’ drive from Kenyatta International Conference Centre and 2 km from National Museum of Nairobi. Enjoy a refreshing Welcome drink while completing check in procedures. Settle in your room, unwind, relax and get use to the African sky. Your stay includes Breakfast.

Day 2: Nairobi to Lewa Conservancy

Pick up after breakfast from your Nairobi hotel and transferred to Wilson Airport for a flight to Meru departing at 8.30a.m. Arrive in Lewa at 9.20a.m. On arrival at the airstrip you will be welcomed and driven to Lewa Safari Camp. Enjoy a game drive transfer on your way to the camp.

Lewa Safari Camp is located within the Lewa Conservancy, one of Kenya’s most protected area and home to species only found north of the equator, from the Reticulated Giraffe to Grevy’s zebras and Beisa Oryxes. You will also meet a good number of both black and white rhinos among other wildlife.

Day 2 – 3 Full Day Lewa Conservancy

You will set out just before sunrise in search of game as you enjoy the richness of the park’s wildlife and endless of savannah. The game driving is outstanding with plenty of black rhinos, buffalos, the rare Grevy Zebra and residents’ predators, to a backdrop of beautiful views of snow-capped Mont Meru. Guests visiting Lewa Safari Camp will be treated to morning and afternoon Game drives, guided walks, sundowners as well as bush picnics. In between the game drives guests will have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the camp’s amenities.

Day 4 Lewa Conservancy to Masai Mara

Early rise followed by a morning game drive before breakfast. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast before being transferred back to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara.

Arrival at the airstrip you will be welcomed. Take your first glimpses of the vast savannah and wildlife on your way to the camp to andBeyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp, the perfect location

for those wanting to observe the spectacle of the migration, classified among the “Seven Wonders of the World”, when, from July to November, over 1.3 million wildebeest and zebra embark on a trek from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara and cross the Mara river in search of greener pastures.

Enjoy lunch and later depart for an afternoon game drive. The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wilderness areas of the world where large mammals are varied and easy to see.

You will frequently see impalas, topis, giraffes, elephants, zebras, buffalos, warthogs and other grazing herbivores. With so many prey animals, Masai Mara is a veritable bonanza for large predators, such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, crocodiles and other stealthy, powerful hunters. The abundance of terrestrial animals is enhanced by the presence of more than 450-winged species, including 57 birds of prey.

Enjoy your afternoon game drive with stop for Sundowners just for you at the banks of the Mara River to stretch your legs while marvelling at the splendour of an African sunset, and the absolute tranquillity of the bush.

Back at the lodge and there is time to freshen up before dinner. Enjoy Dinner under the stars -weather permitting. It is time to discuss about the afternoon highlights around the open fire. Go to bed listening to the sounds of lion, leopard and hyena foraging and hunting, whilst being cosseted with traditional and modern comforts such as a campfire and cosy duvets.

Day 5-6 Masai Mara Game Reserve

Wake up to the sights and sounds of one of the world’s premier wildlife destinations.

The next 2 days will be spent searching for more predators and perhaps their cubs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.

You can go for a sunrise game drive if you wish to spot some Nocturnal animals as they retire back to their hiding after a night out of hunting. You will then head out for a full day of game drives after breakfast with Picnic lunch included. Masai Mara is the home for lots of animal and birds species leave alone the Wildebeests Migration Herds. If you are lucky you will witness a kill.

A candle lit dinner for two is served on your tent’s deck.

Overnight at the camp on full Board

Day 7 Masai Mara to Galu Beach, South of Diani beach

You are woken up by your room steward, with a steaming cup of Kenyan coffee, tea or a cup of hot chocolate before you depart for a romantic hot air balloon (depending on the weather). This is a once in a lifetime experience. There are breath taking views of the winding Mara River filled with Hippos and Crocodiles and the wild animals dotting the Mara planes. Once you are up, you won’t want to come down again, but once you are down Champagne breakfast awaits for you in the wild. Short game drive en route back to the camp. Back at the camp and seat for a scrumptious breakfast before being transferred to the airstrip for a scheduled flight to Galu Beach, South of Diani beach

Upon arrival at the airstrip you will be met and transferred to Kinondo Kwetu, a small all-inclusive luxury resort overlooking the Indian Ocean – an ideal honeymoon hideaway offering a tranquil setting away from the crowds. The hotel is situated in a private beachfront estate with acres of lush gardens and a pristine stretch of white sand to explore.

Day 8 – 13 Kinondo Kwetu in Galu Beach, South of Diani beach

During your week stay indulge in a tranquil seaside adventure on the shores of tropical

Kinondo Kwetu. Relax on golden beach sands washed by balmy Indian Ocean waters or explore the vibrant and beautiful coral reefs that hide beneath the waves. Embark on a variety of water activities: snorkelling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, sailing and canoeing … In addition, there is sunbathing on the beach and swimming in the Indian Ocean – or swim with shoals of colourful reef fish. Dive with Dolphins and Turtles which are seen regularly in these waters or you can even swim with Whale Sharks when they visit these shores between October and March annually. Gallop along the beach and in the forest on horseback at sunset or toast the setting sun from a traditional sailing dhow. Finally, can there be a honeymoon without some pampering?? – Massage and beauty treatments are offered and there is also a wood-fired sauna.

Day 14 Departure

Today it is time to bid farewell to Kinondo Kwetu as your iconic honeymoon comes to an end. After a hearty breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. Upon your arrival at the domestic airport you will be met and driven to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or to a city hotel.
