What a better way to celebrate your love for each other than on a romantic honeymoon in Africa.
This Honeymoon journey starts in Cape Town. You are free to swap the order of destinations around, change the duration and choose accommodation according to your budget and wish-list.
Explore South Africa’s most beautiful city at your leisure. Consider a ride to the top of Table Mountain for views over the coastline or roam the waterfront, Cape Town’s most popular attraction. If history is your fort, board on a boat to visit Robben Island, the notorious island prison where Nelson Mandela was held for 17 years.
Next fly to Kruger National park for few nights in a luxury lodge from where you’ll be tracking the Big 5 in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve – which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park and is without a doubt the world’s best place to see leopard and the Big 5. From here connect to the south-east coast of Mozambique to stay at a luxury private resort and spend your days sun-tanning and swimming through the waters of the Indian Ocean.
Summary of your Trip

Day 1 Arrive Cape Town
On arrival at Cape at Cape Town International Airport by our representative and transferred to the
Dock House Boutique Hotel at the Waterfront where you will be spending the next 4 nights in a luxury room on Bed & Breakfast.
Dock House Boutique Hotel offers the ideal balance between convenience and complete privacy.
The former residence of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront’s harbour master, today’s Dock House Hotel & Spa is an exclusive boutique gem in one of Cape Town’s best locations. A favourite with the A-list crowd — from the fashion elite to visiting dignitaries — the six-room hotel opened in 2008, but with a V&A address and panoramic views of the sea and towering Table Mountain, it didn’t take long for the word to get out about this petite hideaway. This is an intimate hotel with only few rooms therefore attention to details and excellent service are the order of the day.
The hotel’s charming exterior gives way to an opulent world beyond its front door. Chandeliers and ornate ceiling cornices, among other fine touches, create a sense of Victorian elegance.
Depending on your arrival time, the rest of the day is at leisure to relax and unwind from a long international flight
Day 2-4 Cape Town
Cape Town is one of the world’s most beautiful cities and a top international destination. Large numbers of tourists flock to Cape Town to enjoy this unique city with its fascinating history, interesting culture, natural beauty, award winning wines and laidback lifestyle.
Besides accommodation, the only extra added onto your stay in Cape Town are return road transfers from and to Cape Town International Airport. We have left all the days opened for you to decide, our consultants are available to assist with booking activities or a car rental. As this is your honeymoon enjoy being active or simply relax in the beautiful and tranquil scenery.
Day 5 Cape Town to Kruger
This morning leaving Cape Town behind, it is time to go and track wildlife in the Kruger National park. You will be transferred back to Cape Town International Airport in time for your flight to Skukuza Airport. On arrival you will be met and transfer to the lodge. Seat, relax and enjoy the 2- hour road transfer to Dulini Leadwood Lodge located in the western region of the Sabi Sand sets in the southwestern corner of the world-renowned Kruger National Park with whom it shares a 50km unfenced border. It is one of the parks that make up the Greater Kruger National Park.
Dulini Leadwood has only four suites and is the ultimate safari choice for discerning travellers in search of luxurious exclusivity and solitude. Nestled in the confluence of the Sand and Mabrak Rivers, Dulini Leadwood offers an intimate and serene getaway that is completely at peace with the bush that surrounds it.
The staff of Dulini Leadwood Lodge have been hand selected to make the experience second to none. From the housekeeping staff to the chef, the hosts, and guides; the human element makes this experience.
Depending on your arrival time, seat and enjoyed lunch followed by a little siesta or just take a dip in your refreshing plunge pool (heated in Winter) and feel how all stresses and strains just melting away in the deep peace of this exclusive destination.
Around 15h00 gather around for a decadent high tea during which you will be introduced to your ranger. After your briefing, Board on the lodge 4 x 4 Open Landcruiser before setting off on your first afternoon game drive in search for the big 5. Even though there is a 50-kilometre unfenced boundary with the Kruger National Park which gives animals the freedom to go wherever they wish – they tend to stay right where they are! This is because the Sand River and Sabi River supply much needed water in the dry season and create an eco-system with one of the highest and most bio-diverse wildlife populations in Southern Africa. This is the reason why it is quite possible to see the ‘Big Five’ (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, buffalo and elephant) as well as numerous other animals and birds in couple of hours in Sabi Sand or even a couple of days.
Rangers are allowed to go off road whenever necessary to get closer to predator sightings, hence creating good photography opportunities.
While on Game Drive, you will stop for Sundowners at a magnificent location and toast the splendour of Africa as you watch the sun sink into the dusty horizon. Continue on with the game drive after dark. Your skilled tracker will scan the landscape using a spotlight which illuminates animals’ eyes. A variety of completely different species can be seen on the night drive back to the lodge.
Return to the lodge and there is time to freshen up and meet in the bar for pre-dinner drinks.
Mealtimes are a sociable affair, with dinner served under the stars (weather permitting), inside
reed enclosed boma, around a roaring log fire. This is the time to discuss the afternoon sightings as well as tomorrow’s plans with your ranger.
Day 6-8 Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve
The day begins early with tea or coffee with muffins and fruit before departing on the Game Drive which will take approximately 3-4 hours. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times to see most of the large mammals. You will be treated to two game drives daily: one in early morning and another one in the afternoon till the early evening.
Animals usually seen during the early morning game drive include rhino, lion, leopard and giraffe. Lions are very active in the early morning enjoying family time with their curbs or stacking impalas at a water whole and with a bit of luck you may witness a kill.
As the day progresses and the sun rises, predators usually seek refuge under the shade of a tree or bush and may spend the best part of the day sleeping, only to emerge in the late afternoon or evening. Night-time is when most carnivores – except wild dogs and cheetahs – do their hunting, and if you are lucky you may stumble on a kill.
Back to the lodge for a scrumptious breakfast after which the rest of the morning is at leisure.
This is your personal time to indulge in colonial-style comfort and contemplate three nights and four days of bliss.
Between game drives guests are free to embark on an escorted nature walk with an experienced armed tracker (these walks are subject to availability) – exploring the green riverbank and crossing the quirky suspension bridge. Your skilled tracker will explain the finer, intricate details of the bush and its many wonders en-route.
Return to the lodge to a lavish lunch and enjoy a little siesta afterwards.
Around 15h00 gather with fellow guests for a decadent high tea in preparation for your afternoon game drive during which your experienced Ranger will check your wildlife Wishlist to find out what hasn’t been ticked yet, but you may also be lucky by your third game drive in the sabi Sands game reserve renowned for its prolific wildlife your high expectations have already been met and exceeded.
Enjoy sundowners and tracking nocturnal animals with the aid of a spotlight during your afternoon/evening game drive.
Back again at the lodge after an exhilarating afternoon of unforgettable bush life. Get ready for dinner served under the stars (weather permitting) while discussing of the day sightings with fellow guests and your ranger. It is time to swap stories and make new friends.
Day 9 Sabi Game Reserve to Mozambique
Early morning wake up call for your last game drive. Enjoy tea or coffee together with muffins and rusks before boarding on your 4 x4 game viewer for one last safari experience. Return to the lodge for a heathy breakfast. Afterwards complete the check-out procedures before being transferred to Ulusaba airstrip to connect with your Air transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport to connect to your flight to Maputo Airport.
On arrival in Maputo, you will be met by White Pearl Resorts lodge staff for a 90-minute road transfer to the lodge.
Depending on your arrival time, you will settle for lunch or high tea or simply take a dip in your private plunge pool or embark on a beach adventure. Whatever the case may be, you have the day to yourself to do as you please.
Enjoy the next few days in paradise being as active or as relaxed as you like.
