Day 1: Welcome to South Africa
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met by our Representative and transferred to Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel. As you drive toward the city, your view from afar will be Table Mountain, one of the most spiritual places on earth, with its heart, two oceans and the beautiful city of Cape Town at its feet. Day 2 Half Day city tour including Table Mountain.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up by your local guide for a private morning City tour including Table Mountain. In the afternoon learn about the dark days of the apartheid era by embarking on a Robben Island Tour.
This is a great orientation tour of Cape Town. Highlights of this half day tour include a visit up Table Mountain on the cableway, where the varying flora and fauna will be explained; exploring the Malay Quarter – a historic picturesque area of the city with original Malay buildings and narrow streets. You tour some of the historic sights of the city centre and stroll through the Company Gardens. Time permitting you will also see the Castle of Good Hope, built in 1652 and now painstakingly restored, and enjoy a photographic opportunities of Table Mountain from Table Bay. (Please Note: The cable car ticket is not included as the mountain visit is weather permitting).
Afternoon Robben Island visit
Depart on a scheduled boat trip across Table Bay to Robben Island. On arrival guests will be met by their guide – an ex-political prisoner. You will be taken on a 45-minute bus ride with a guide providing commentary. Stop and visit the infamous Maximum-Security Prison as well as Murray’s Bay Harbour precinct attractions, such as the Muslim shrine, or kramat, and the Museum shop. For nearly 400 years, Robben Island, 12 kilometres from Cape Town, was a place of banishment, exile, isolation and imprisonment. It was here that rulers sent those they regarded as political troublemakers, social outcasts and the unwanted of society. During the apartheid years Robben Island became internationally known for its institutional brutality. The duty of those who ran the Island and its prison was to isolate opponents of apartheid and to crush their morale. Some freedom fighters spent more than a quarter of a century in prison for their beliefs.

Day 3 Full Day Cape Peninsula

The Cape Peninsula boasts some of the most spectacular and unique scenery in the world. Including the magical combinations of mountains, oceans, beaches, wildlife and flowers, this tour is sure to thrill every tourist to Cape Town.
It is an ideal way to see the highlights and appreciate the surrounding natural beauty of the Peninsula. You’ll travel along the Atlantic seaboard with its sparkling white beaches and impressive mountains, to Hout Bay. There is the option of taking a 45-Minute boat trip to a Cape Fur Seal colony. You’ll continue on Chapman’s Peak Drive, renowned as one of the most spectacular scenic routes in the world. You’ll visit the Cape Point Nature Reserve, the tip of the Cape Peninsula with its captivating scenery and fascinating history. This is the Cape of Good Hope.
The return journey to Cape Town takes you along False Bay coast with the option of visiting the colony of rare African Penguins at Boulders Beach. You’ll pass through the naval village of Simon’s Town and the coastal suburbs of Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg.

The Wine Route tour is mellow and involves no exercise – other than lifting your wine glass. You will visit three regions of the Cape Winelands: Paarl, Franschhoek, and Stellenbosch with a tasting in each region, a cellar tour at one of the farms and a picnic lunch. The wine farms offer a variety of white and red cultivars, as well as their own blends and styles. We allow enough time for each tasting to fully appreciate and enjoy the wine master’s art.
Back to Cape Town in the late afternoon and the rest of the evening is at leisure
Day 5 Rovos Rail Cape Town to Pretoria
Guests enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
Guests will complete the check-out procedure before being transferred to Cape Town Station for Rovos Rail Cape Town to Pretoria.
Board the luxurious Rovos Rail for your two-day journey to Pretoria 1,600 kilometres away. Leave Table Mountain behind as you head through the Winelands and rugged mountains towards the open skies of the Karoo. The train will stop at Matjiesfontein so you can visit this Victorian village and its museum, where time seems to have stood still. Overnight on Rovos Rail, with all meals and drinks included.
Day 6 Rovos Rail
Another day on the train, stopping at Kimberley after lunch. You’ll board a bus for a tour of the town, the Diamond Mine Museum and the Big Hole, which is the world’s largest man-made excavation. Then back in the train and watch the grasslands slide past your window until it’s time for drinks in the observation car and dinner in the dining car, with its crisp linen, silverware, crystal and monogrammed china. Go to sleep lulled by the motion of this luxury train. Overnight on Rovos Rail, with all meals and drinks included.
Day 7 Pretoria
On arrival at the Rovos Rail Station at Capital Park in Pretoria, guests will be met and transferred to the hotel.

Day 9 Rovos Rail
Day at leisure. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served as the train travels towards Bulawayo via West Nicholson. Overnight stop on board at Mpopoma.

13h00 Enjoy lunch while travelling along the eastern edge of Hwange Park along one of Africa’s longest stretches of straight railway line – 114 kilometres.
15h00 Arrive at Kennedy Siding for a game drive at The Hide.

Day 11 Victoria Falls

Day 12 Victoria Falls Safari Club
The next morning after a leisurely breakfast it is time for a guided tour of the Falls: the “Smoke that thunders”. Your guide will tell you about the myth and history surrounding it. Stop at the “Big tree” a giant Baobab for photographs. Go on a scenic walk through the tropical rainforest that is there by virtue of the spray from the Falls.

The afternoon is at leisure to explore the many activities that Victoria Falls has to offer such as Elephant Back Safari, walking with the lions, high wire activities including the flying fox, the zipline and the gorge swing … or just visit the African craft market to shop some souvenir gifts.

Day 13: Victoria Falls – Johannesburg
Today your luxury journey has come to its end. After breakfast guests will complete the check-out formalities before being transferred to Victoria Falls Airport.
